模擬現實技術在軍事上的應用不僅僅是場景演試，軍事訓練、作戰仿真等都可以運用VR技術，以達到理想的效果。目前虛擬現實技術在軍事領域的應用主要有以下幾個方面：

• 熟悉虛擬戰場環境，採用虛擬現實技術使受訓者在視覺和聽覺 上真實體驗戰場環境、熟悉將作戰區域的環境特徵。
• 模擬作戰場景，用戶通過必要的設備可與虛擬環境中的對象進 行交互作用、相互影響，從而產生「沉浸」於等同真實環境的感 受和體驗。
• ​布局作戰策略，虛擬戰場環境的實現方法可通過相應的三維戰 場環境圖形圖像庫，包括作戰背景、戰地場景、各種武器裝備和 作戰人員等。

In terms of military, what we can accomplish in VR is not only displaying scenes but also stimulating combat. Currently the major applications are:

• Get familiar to the features of battle ground by providing visual and aural simulation to trainees.
• Interact with opponents in virtual world to accomplish providing the “immersive” feeling as if in the real world.
• Plan strategies in virtual battle grounds by using scenarios, scenes, equipment and armies which are stored in database.

• 各種角度觀看回放。展示並訓後檢討。
• 反覆模擬，儲存每次訓練的數據與走位，形成大數據庫。
